This dissertation asks: “Procedural Level Design: is it possible to generate a linear experience through procedural generation?” and its research focuses on defining level design, the players’ experience and immersion. The project uses a variety of methods to gather qualitative and quantitative data: a short playtest based on a model derived from the literature review and a post-test questionnaire that is employed to understand the hypothesis and its implications.
